You too are shaggy!
Our lunch box empty.
We float together
Kite and cloud like,
Freely in air.
We lie down
Watch the night sky
Watch the water,
fill up the potholes.
Rain washed us,
After a week or two
Cold wrapped our wet beings.
Our homes no more for us
Streets opened with food
Sometimes kindness.
I am lonely
You too are lonely.
Tables of the rich
Left food for us.
Their hearts full
But
Do not spill over, warmth!
Dark montage of city elite life
Much to throw away,
Not love or care.
I see the van
You see another van.
More lives to join me in the shelter
Few may be with you in the rehab.
My dreams may visit you,
Your thoughts may skip me
And this street!
My love will never leave you!
